PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL…

The Parish Pastoral Council warmly welcome the return of the congregation to the parish churches since December 1st. It is important to remind ourselves that this reopening of the Churches is with Level 3 restrictions in place. The Government has allowed for special concession for Places of Worship to reopen for religious services at Level 3, in light of the upcoming Christmas period, to be reviewed in January.

  • The Cathedral and Bóthar na Naomh Church will remain open for private prayer. The Cathedral will open between 11.30 a.m. and 5.00 p.m.

Bóthar na Naomh Church will open from 9.00 am – 2.00 p.m.

  • Masses will be celebrated daily (Monday – Sunday) in the Cathedral at 11.00 a.m. & 7.00 p.m. with the maximum capacity of 150 people (50 people in each section. Mass will be celebrated in Bóthar na Naomh Church at 9.00 a.m. every Sunday with the maximum capacity of 70 people (35 people in each section.) All Masses are live streamed from our parish website.  Masses can be heard through the local Cathedral & Bóthar na Naomh Radio links.
  • Obligation to attend Sunday Mass continues to be suspended. We encourage you to attend any one Mass during the week.
  • Baptisms permitted with the minimum number present.
  • The Sacrament of Reconciliation will not take place during this time of restriction. A ‘Contrition Ceremony’ will take place before Christmas. More details to follow.
  • Funeral Masses may be celebrated with 25 mourners present.
  • Weddings may be celebrated with up to 25 guests.
  • Wearing of face masks is required. (Due to medical conditions some people may not be able to comply with this request.)
  • Please sit on the X, as these are clearly marked for social distancing. It is acceptable for each household to sit together.
  • Parish Office open from Monday -Friday, 11.30 a.m. – 5.00 p.m. Closed for lunch 1.30 p.m. – 2.30 p.m.
